The Drowsy Chaperone
Last night I went to see "The Drowsy Chaperone" at the Cadillac Palace Theater. I didn’t know too much about the show, other than it won several Tony Awards and was written by some of the folks involved in "Slings & Arrows" Bob Martin (one of the writers) and Don McKellar (who played Darren Nichols). [...]

Nooooooooooooo!
Real Genius 2? Say it isn’t so! I think I want to cry. Mitch: You know, um, something strange happened to me this morning… Chris Knight: Was it a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you? [...]

Undeck the Halls
New Year’s Day is when I take down my Christmas decorations (with the exception of the tree because I have so many ornaments and it takes me several evenings to do by myself). Nowhere near as much fun as putting them up. I do lots of procrastinating by watching lots of “Law & Order” TBS [...]

Experimentation
I’ve started to experiment with my new camera and editing software. I used “Digital Photo Professional” to convert the RAW image to this. Here is the original: I know I’m going to end up spending lots of time just messing around with this camera. This is just one of the trees in my yard.

As it stands I have 5 Bumble dolls (two of which dance and sing), 4 Ornaments that include the Bumble, 1 Bumble snowglobe, Bumble window clings, a Bumble stocking and [...]

Things seem to be working with blogger for the moment. I will keep my WordPress blog though (the program comes with my hosting service). After messing around with it I kinda like it. Update 1: Looks like I spoke too soon… Update 2: random test post… Update 3: Are we there yet…

I’m getting heartily sick of this…
Blogger still isn’t fixed and I’m now getting a new error… If this post even shows up look for new posts at: http://purplesoup.com/WordPress/ I may migrate the whole blog there if things don’t improve soon!

Another Christmas Tradition
Another Christmas tradition in my family is that of the Halley’s Comet Ornament. Back in 1986, during the last appearance of the comet my aunt gave each of the siblings families this ornament. My family, being as nutty as we are, have developed a crazy game with it. Every year we sneak it onto each [...]
